SUPPORTIVE INCLUSION

Our Aboriginal Supported Child Development (ASCD) Consultant provides services to support First Nations, Métis and Inuit children and families to reach their full potential, through a strengths-based, holistic and culturally responsive approach to ensure they are included within their childcare, preschool or community care setting.

 

There is a focus on the health, intellectual, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being for children from birth to up to 19 years residing in Pitt Meadows, Maple Ridge and Katzie First Nation.    

No diagnoses required. Self-referrals accepted.

NATASHA

DEMPSEY

Aboriginal/Indigenous Supported Child Development Consultant

 

 

Natasha was born and raised in Vancouver and is happy to call North Vancouver her home. Natasha completed her Early Childhood Education at Langara College in 2013. Throughout her ECE career Natasha has worked with infants, toddlers and preschool aged children of all abilities. She is also enrolled in the Community Licensing Program offered at the Justice Institute of British Columbia to further her knowledge of licensed facilities and how they operate.  Her greatest passion is working with children, and helping children strive. Natasha is looking forward to getting to know everyone and building new meaningful relationships in the community. Fun Fact about Natasha:  She has picked up a new hobby of downhill skiing this year and attends ski lessons every Monday evening!

KAAMIL

SIDhU

    Aboriginal/Indigenous Supported Child

    Development Consultant

     

     

    Kaamil was born and raised in India and moved to BC after high school. She graduated from University of Fraser Valley with an ECE certificate and CYC degree. Ever since she has dedicated her adult life and career to working with children and youth in different settings. She is highly passionate about her work and believes that a strong support system can change the life of anybody who needs it.

    Fun Fact about Kaamil: She spends her free time sketching and painting whenever she can get her hands on some art supplies!
