National Indigenous People Day
This year's theme is "connections," which recognizes the deep and complex web of connections that exist within and between Indigenous communities, as well as the connections that Indigenous peoples have with the land, culture, and history of this country. Through a range of events and activities, the Maple Ridge community will have the opportunity to learn and celebrate Indigenous cultures and traditions, and to explore the theme of "connections" in all its dimensions. Activities will include storytelling, music, dance, and art, as well as workshops and presentations by local Indigenous leaders and experts.
